Rashid @ Chic

Karim Rashid
"I want to change the world"

In 2001, a leading designer released a monograph, declaring ‘I Want To Change The World.’ Karim Rashid (left) has dabbled in virtually every aspect of design - product, interior, fashion, furniture, lighting and installation art. Commissioned by bigwigs such as Issey Miyake, Citibank and Prada, Rashid is credited with radically changing consumer culture.

Relentlessly experimental and creatively driven, Rashid’s award-winning work is permanently exhibited in fourteen museums worldwide including the prestigious MoMA in New York. Half Egyptian and half English, the dynamic designer was raised in Canada, resides in the Big Apple, and by all indication, still harbours hopes of changing the world.
